Thorin was stunned for only a moment before turning on the hobbit. “How dare you!” His anger was true, but it was also mixed with hurt.

Thorin watched her curiously, continuing to pick up the food before he finally had it all gathered back up and waiting for her to take. “As long as you’re alright.” He looked her over one more time, making sure she wasn’t lying before moving further into the house to put the rest of the things away. “You will have to come help me or at least show me where all of this goes.”

Bilba nodded, catching her breath. “Yes yes, of course, follow me,” she moved towards the kitchen and chuckled a bit, still intent on catching her breath. “The breads go in here, the cheeses here, the meats go into the cellar, and the flour goes under the tomatoes,” she opened her pantry and pointed everything out to him. “I’m sorry if I scared you with that little incident,” she flushed in embarrassment.

Thorin followed her instructions and carefully put everything away, making sure not to drop anything. It took him a few minutes to put all of the food in its place, shaking his head at the sheer amount of food in the pantry. Once he was done he turned to Bilba, giving her a small smile. “You did not scare me as much as startle me. I believed hobbits were steadier on their feet than that.”  He had an amused look in his eyes as he ducked out of the pantry, heading to his room.

Thorin’s brows furrowed. “Have you been out drinking?”

Thorin smiled, squeezing his hands in return before pulling him closer and kissing him softly on the lips. “I’m glad.” He led him over to a seat, sitting him down and moving to grab a few things before returning. He moved behind Kili, easily unclasping his hair and setting the clasp aside before running the comb through his tangled hair. He worked slowly, not wanting to hurt him on accident. Once his hair was decently tamed he re-clasped it, moving to one side and gathering up the hair that rested just behind his ear. He plaited it carefully, fingers easily weaving the strands together until he had a full braid. He clasped the end with one of his own beads, so now anyone would know who Kili was courting.

Kili sat dutifully still as Thorin worked the braid in his hair, shifting only a bit as the unfamiliarity of the act caught him by surprise. Mahal he had not wore braids since he was 23 years old and impatiently tore them off form his hair, not liking the feel or weight of them. But this braid would mean something else. It bound him together with Thorin for everyone to see. And everyone would see. He turned his head a bit when Thorin was done, touching the bead in his hair tenderly before he smiled at him. “Should I put one in your hair as well or…I’m not exactly sure how this goes.” He admitted with a silent chuckle.

Thorin smiled softly as Kili felt over the braid, knowing how odd it must feel. Because he worse his braids so often it felt odd when his hair was free, and he’d developed a habit over the years of tying it up when he worked in the forge. The question received an amused look, and he pulled Kili up from the chair before taking his place. “You put one in my hair as well, yes. The claim goes both ways, as both people in the courtship are taken.” He didn’t know where Kili would put it, but he’d find somewhere.

The year is 1977, and Lord Voldemort’s forces are growing stronger. With the the end of the Marauders’ time at Hogwarts drawing closer, everyone is forced to choose a side.

The Harry Potter fandom finally has a chance to get a movie about the Marauder’s era! The Gathering Storm: A Marauders Fan Film is a fan-made film about the Marauders’ sixth year at Hogwarts, and the events that lead to their places in the First Wizarding War; of course, everything based on the stories and events of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
But here’s the condition: the people who are working on this movie need to reach $40,000 by April 22, 2014, otherwise they can’t make this happen
We can’t lose this opportunity! We need everyone’s help.
Please, go HERE and donate, because they need a lot of money to pay things such as locations, costumes, camera & equipment and visual effects. It doesn’t matter if you can’t afford to send a lot of money: every little donation helps, because if we all donate something then all the money together will surely reach the final amount! And if you can’t donate money, here’s what you can do: spread the world. Tell everyone you know, make sure every single Potterhead knows about this project.

"We are only as strong as we are united". Together we can make this happen!

Thank you, marliusblackinnon!

Attention all Potterheads! This most auspicious project is a friend of mine’s labor of love and it could use your help to be turned from a dream into reality. Everything from the casting to the locations selected are spot-on perfection - not to mention the plot itself - and all it needs is the funding to be brought to life. Visit the Kickstarter to see what I mean!

The Marauder period is one we’d all love to see expanded upon, and this project will do it right. Please share and reblog. Even if you can’t donate, please spread the word. Thank you!

Everyone donate noooooowwww!

Thorin’s brows furrowed. “Have you been out drinking?”

Thorin shook his head, giving him a gentle look. “You will. I will convince you somehow.” He smiled softly, chuckling a bit at the question. “No, we do not. It would be frowned upon if I did not court you first. Which should be done properly.” He took Kili’s hands in his own, locking their gazes together and giving him a warm look. “Kili son of Vili, do you accept my courtship?” His tone was official but his body language was not, the way it was when he’d been teaching the boys about their duties as princes. He did not want to make Kili nervous.

Oh. That was the last thing that Kili had expected Thorin to do and he couldn’t stop his cheeks from flushing lightly. He knew that after responding to the question, there would be no way out. This was the step to something larger than himself, something that would affect many lives. Yet when he stared in Thorin’s warm eyes, he knew his uncle, his lover would be there for every step on that journey and catch him if he’d fall. “I accept.” He replied squeezing Thorin’s hand gently.

Thorin smiled, squeezing his hands in return before pulling him closer and kissing him softly on the lips. “I’m glad.” He led him over to a seat, sitting him down and moving to grab a few things before returning. Thorin’s brows furrowed. “Have you been out drinking?”

Thorin smiled softly and leaned into the touch, noticing how he purposely picked a silver streak. “I do not know. But you are well liked among our people Kili. They know you care about them and always try to help. I doubt that many will protest.” There will always be a few who will. They always find something wrong with the couple and wish to stall the marriage, but Thorin would not let that happen. “You may be young but you have also been a prince your entire life. I have faith in you.”

"I wish I had the same faith in myself." Kili replied silently, even if a small smile splayed on his lips. They would figure this out. Whatever would come on their way, they would find a way to overcome it as long as they were together. "We don’t have to marry straight away, do we?" He asked a bit worried. "Frankly I don’t think I’m quite ready for that step just yet." He admitted sheepishly.

Thorin shook his head, giving him a gentle look. “You will. I will convince you somehow.” He smiled softly, chuckling a bit at the question. “No, we do not. It would be frowned upon if I did not court you first.
